I'm a Big Girl Now! by Maleah Malcolm

Synopsis:
Your little girl is growing up! I'm a Big Girl Now! embraces growing up with open arms.
A big girl is growing up and realizing all of the great things she can do now as a big girl that she couldn't do when she was a baby.
Sometimes thinking about your little girl growing up can make you feel blue, but this story helps both parents and children see that growing up is an amazing and exciting process.
(Synopsis taken from the back of the book.)

My thoughts:
I thought this is an adorable children's book. The illustrations are pretty goos for a debut book. I'm a Big Girl Now! addequitly expresses the struggles children have with wanting to grow up and not be treated like a toddler anymore. The main character, Layla, is definitely learning to do things on her own, such as writing her name, and make her own bed. I think this is a great book for both children and parents faced with having their kid age into childhood.

I give I'm a Big Girl Now: 3/5.
