MicroBusiness For Teens Review

Recently I received a free review copy of the book Starting a Micro Business for Teens by Carol Topp. I have to admit that at first look I thought the book would be dry. But after reading it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is very helpful book for parents and teens who are ready to earn some money without going the traditional route of fast food.

The book helps teens discover their personal strengths and then offers practical suggestions of how to turn their hobbies and strengths into money making opportunities.

Micro Businesses offer teens short term jobs that require little or no start up money and opportunities to learn about how to manage time, money and people skills.

Several examples of micro businesses for teens include teaching young children how to play a musical instrument, mowing lawns, giving private tutoring to local adults on itunes, facebook and internet, cleaning neighbors garage, weeding and cleaning up gardens.....

This book helps the teen learn how to set up a basic business plan and run their micro business.

I really feel that children and teens need to learn how to manage money while they're young so they won't make the same mistakes we made. Great read!
